Project Aim
To develop an accessible smartwatch with tactile feedback and navigation assistance for visually impaired users.
Description
Sense Dial was conceptualized by my friend from Babson College. I handled the technical and prototyping of that device.
This device has a TF-mini s Lidar for sensing and collision avoidance, 6*12 dc solenoid actuators to create a refreshable Braille screen, push button for SOS alert, small rotary motor for vibration and buzzer for sound alert. During the prototyping stage I used the MosFet to use as switch for actuation of the solenoids as the direct microcontroller digital pins don't deliver enough current.
